Hi! I am DR. RAJIV BHATIA and I am a doctor of veterinary medicine graduate of the Punjab Agricultural University in India . Upon completion of my veterinary degree I did my masters in veterinary surgery and radiology. After achieving my masters I practiced and taught veterinary surgery and radiology at the same University for over 8 years. In December 2000 I immigrated to Canada and have been practicing in small animal medicine and surgery since. I have worked in various settings – daytime practice, after hour emergency practice and 24 hour animal hospitals. I feel compassion for the pets and their owners is the most essential part of veterinary medicine. My special interests lie in surgery, radiology and internal medicine. I attend continuing education courses on a regular basis and always strive to provide the most current diagnostics and treatment for my patients!

THE CLINIC PETS
DARLA was born Aug 16, 2009. She was brought into the Beaver Creek family at 8 weeks old from a breeder, Jennifer Walter at the kennel “A Perfect Gift” up in Palmerston, ON. She is a purebred female West Highland Terrier. Darla loves her kitty brother Chino, going for long walks, squirrels and rabbits.
ZACK was a puppy mill rescue who came into the clinic in February of 2009 though All Breed Canine Rescue (see Rescue Group page for more information). He was adopted by Beaver Creek Animal Hospital’s receptionist, Kathy. Zack spends everyday at the clinic behind the reception desk. Zack is definitely a spoiled Mommy’s boy!
ALVIN is a loveable male tabby born in February 2013 and came to the Beaver Creek Animal Hospital from Animal Aide as a small kitten. The staff here couldn’t part with his adorable personality and soon he bonded to his new best friend Vito. Alvin spends his days in the back of the clinic causing havoc and playing with all his toys!
VITO came to Beaver Creek Animal Hospital from the St. Thomas city pound because he was having difficulties breathing. After doing X-rays, we found he had a diaphragmatic hernia (meaning his abdominal organs were in his chest). Vito is a strong kitty who pulled through major surgery and continues to do well each day, even though he now only has one working lung! During his long recovery the staff fell in love with him! He spends his days lying in his cat bed, playing with toys or keeping an eye on all of us making sure we are doing a good job.
